Here's exactly what happens when you partner with Milepost Dispatch. No mystery. No surprises.
Step 1: Sign up in 5 minutes
You can sign up entirely on your phone. Here's what we need:
- Your MC number
- Certificate of Insurance (COI) — $1M auto liability, $100K cargo minimum
- W-9 form
- Voided check or factoring company NOA
- Driver's CDL (front and back)
- Truck info (VIN, plate, equipment type)
We send you a secure link. Fill it out, upload docs, e-sign. Takes about 5 minutes.
Step 2: Your dispatcher calls within 4 hours
Within 4 hours of sign-up, your dedicated dispatcher calls you. This call usually takes 20–30 minutes. We cover:
- Lanes you prefer to run
- Minimum rate per mile you accept
- Where you call home (and how often you want to be there)
- Weekend preferences — running or home?
- Equipment specifics — truck, trailer, capacity
- Hours-of-service constraints or state restrictions
By the end of this call, we have your full operating profile. We're ready to dispatch.
Step 3: We find loads that match your truck
Every morning, we scan the freight market for loads that fit your profile. Behind the scenes:
- We monitor DAT, Truckstop, and our direct broker relationships
- We score each load against your preferences (rate, deadhead, lane fit, broker reputation)
- We negotiate with brokers to get you the best possible rate
- We verify the broker on Carrier411 to ensure they pay on time
Once booked, we send a dispatch package via WhatsApp and email: pickup, delivery, broker contact, special instructions.
Step 4: We track your load from pickup to delivery
While you drive, we handle:
- Check-call SMS messages every few hours for ETA updates
- Communication with the broker if anything changes
- BOL collection — just text us a photo at pickup
- POD collection at delivery
- Detention or layover paperwork if you wait
If anything goes wrong — weather, breakdown, traffic — we handle the broker side. You focus on driving.
Step 5: You get paid, we get paid
Your factoring company or broker pays you directly within their normal terms (24–48 hours with factoring, 30–45 days direct).
- We invoice commission weekly
- Pay weekly, monthly, or per-load — your choice

- We only earn after you've earned the gross

How do I know I'll get good loads from Milepost?
Free 5-day trial. You see exactly what we book before paying anything.
What if I don't like a load you've booked?
We don't book loads under your minimum rate per mile or in states you've blacklisted. Period. If we make a mistake, we eat the cost.
How fast can you start dispatching me after I sign up?
Same day. If you sign up in the morning, we usually have your first load booked by afternoon.
Can I still find my own loads?
Yes. Many of our carriers source some loads themselves and use us for the rest. We're flexible.
What happens if there's a problem on a load?
We handle the broker side: detention, layover, claims, disputes. You handle the driving. That's the deal.
Do you require an exclusive dispatching agreement?
No. You can use other dispatchers or self-dispatch. We earn your business through results, not contracts.
How is your service different from a load board subscription?
Load boards just show you loads. We negotiate, verify brokers, handle paperwork, track loads, and chase payments. A load board is a tool. We're a service.
